Guidance for Club Secretaries and Referees

  1. Ensure that the match card bears the postmark on the day following the match.
  2. Home clubs are responsible for pitch marking, erection of goal nets and supplying the match ball. Pegs must be used to restrain nets at ground level.
  3. Each club is responsible for providing a linesman.
  4. Home club secretaries must hand the referee his match card before the match and give him all relevant information about the match so that he can include such things as goal scorers in his report. The referee must also be informed before commencement of the match the names of substitutes. The referees match card must carry each club secretaries name and address.
  5. On the match card each club must enter the name of the referee and indicate all goal scorers for both teams.
  6. In the event of a colour clash the AWAY team must change.

  7. Please note that Sunday morning fixtures are scheduled to kick-off at 11.00am. Kick-off times for mid week fixtures will be advised by the Management Committee.
  8. You are reminded that all knockout competition ties shall be decided on the day of the match. If the scores are level at the end of normal time then extra time of 15 minutes each way shall be played. If at the end of extra time the scores are still level then the tie shall be decided by penalties as per referees chart.
  9. If a match is postponed at late notice due to unforeseen circumstances it is the duty of the club responsible for the postponement to inform their opponents, the referee and the Fixtures Secretary.
  10. Secretaries please note Rule 13 re the non-attendance of the appointed referee and you are advised to carry a spare whistle at all times.
  11. All referees appointed to matches by the Management Committee must be registered with a County F.A.
  12. No telephone calls to Management Committee members after 21:00 hours.
  13. Clubs are responsible for ensuring officials, players and supporters do not contravene league rules, copyright, or disparage any league or match officials or players, on any web site. Clubs wishing to run their own web site must have approval in writing from the Management Committee and all areas of the site must be accessible to the Management Committee, including password protected areas - the password must be provided to the Management Committee. Any club not complying with this guidance will be dealt with under Rule 5H, failing to comply with an order or instruction of the Management Committee.
