Rochdale Sacred Heart FC – “Football Training and Education Programme”

Commencing September 2016, Rochdale Sacred Heart FC, who play at Step 7 of the National League System, are offering a new “Football Training and Education Programme” based at their state of the art Fox Park complex in Rochdale.  The full time programme is aimed at current year 11 students who will be leaving school this summer and those wanting to move College courses or return to education. They are looking to recruit 20 students aged 16-19 who want to study FA Coaching, Refereeing and experience delivering PE and sporting activities in schools. Each module will provide students with a nationally recognised accredited qualification and in addition, Maths & English will be offered for those who need assistance to achieve a Grade C or above.

Candidates need to be passionate about football, committed and eager to progress and for those interested, the Club is hosting an ‘Open Evening’ at Fox Park on Tuesday 16th February at 6:30pm, where senior course tutor, Mike Holt, will be explaining what the course provides and the additional benefits on offer.  To register your interest and attendance at the event, please contact Mike on 07717878382 or by email mholt40@hotmail.co.uk and we encourage those who attend bring along their parents or guardians as with places at a premium, you should book your place on the course before somebody else does!

LFA Handbook 2014-15
The LFA Handbook 2014-15 is now available as a web based document using the link below.

This means the handbook will be updated as the season progresses and so no hard copies are available.

The format is extremely user friendly and contains all the information, and a lot more besides, that member clubs could possibly need throughout the season.

Artificial Pitch Testing

Any artificial pitch that clubs want to use for league and cup fixtures must be tested in accordance with BS EN 15330-1 by a recognised test house (a test laboratory accredited by FIFA and or having ISO 17025 accreditation by UKAS for each of the tests specified). The facility operator should commission and pay for the cost of this.

The FA have issued guidance and contact information for testing companies.
